MEC visits Waterberg District hospitals

In an effort to ensure provision of quality healthcare in Limpopo, the MEC for Health and Social Development, Dr Norman Mabasa began his service delivery inspection visits to Waterberg District today.

Mabasa paid a visit to Thabazimbi and Ellisras Hospital where he inspected the two hospitals respectively, he also met with facility managers to discuss the challenges they face and ways to improve service delivery in the province. Challenges raised were relating to shortage of personnel, medical equipment infrastructural problems as well as procurement issues.

Reacting to the visit Mabasa pointed out that, “In the cold face of service delivery, you appreciate that there is still a lot of work that needs to be done to realise the right of quality healthcare for all in this province. And these visits are in line with our commitment to improve healthcare for our people,” “We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that quality healthcare becomes a reality for all.”
