As part of the Limpopo Provincial Government's Service Delivery Week in Giyani Local Municipality, MEC for Transport and Community Safety, Ms. Violet Mathye, will participate in the "Shovakalula Project" initiative. On Friday, 10 April 2026, MEC Mathye will hand over bicycles to schools in the Giyani Area, aiming to improve access to education for disadvantaged learners.
The Shovakalula Project, a national initiative launched in 2001, provides bicycles to learners in rural and peri-urban areas, reducing long walking distances and promoting a safer, more sustainable transportation option.
