MEC Vadi to conduct community outreach programme at William Nicol Drive

Gauteng MEC for Roads and Transport Dr Ismail Vadi will on Tuesday, 15 July 2014, carry out a community outreach programme at the William Nicol Drive, north of Johannesburg.

Together with Road Traffic Management Corporation (RMTC) law enforcement agencies, MEC Vadi will engage with commuters about the delays, congestion and major inconvenience due to construction work taking place in the area.

The R200 million project, which is an infrastructural development undertaken jointly by private sector and government, involves the upgrading of Road K46 (William Nicol) into a dual carriageway road starting in the vicinity of Fourways and ending at PWV5 north of the Jukskei River.

The road connects Bryanston, Fourways and many suburbs to Sandton and Hyde Park and ultimately Rosebank as well as the Johannesburg CBD via Jan Smuts Avenue.
