The Eastern Cape MEC for Transport Thandiswa Marawu will officially launch the 2014 Easter Arrive Alive Campaign at the Aberdeen Traffic Station on 15 April 2014 at 10h00.
The launch will coincide with the Opening of the Aberdeen Traffic Station and handing over of new vehicles for traffic officers to improve their visibility on the roads.
There will also be a handing over of Emergency Medical and Rescue Services Vehicles to the paramedics of the Department of Health in order to improve their response to accidents, as well as new uniforms to traffic officers
“This will be the first time for us to have traffic officers permanently deployed to the area, which is along one of the most hazardous routes in the country,” says MEC Marawu.
