MEC Sizakele Nkosi–Malobane launches Take Charge Campaign, 30 Jul

The Gauteng MEC for Community Safety, Sizakele Nkosi-Malobane, accompanied by Members of Mayoral Committees on Safety from all municipalities in the Province will launch the Take Charge campaign.

Early this year, the Gauteng City Region adopted the Gauteng Safety Strategy which is aimed at promoting safety in the Province. The strategy is part of the City Region’s vision of Transformation, Modernization and Re-industrialization.

Subsequent to the adoption of the strategy, the new Take Charge Campaign, a communication campaign for the safety strategy, has been developed to revitalize and strengthen Community Policing Forums, mobilise civil society and stakeholders to act in partnership with law enforcement agencies and government to fight crime and promote road safety.
