MEC Sam Mashinini engages with young people, 6 Nov

Youth engagement with the MEC

Young people are the force that drives modern institutions because of the energy and the abundance of ideas they are endowed with. Visionary institutions place a high premium on the development of young minds in their employ in order to improve productivity and ensure relevance in the current economic kaleidoscope.

Progressive governments provide young people with space to thrive in their different chosen fields preparing them to be reliable and credible leaders of the future. To this end, MEC Sam Mashinini of DESTEA has found time in his busy schedule to engage with the young people in his department.

These young people will have the opportunity to speak with confidence and without fear or reappraisal with the MEC on the issues of opportunity for promotion, different career paths in the department, exchange programmes, recognition and reward for good work done.

To round it off, there will be music entertainment and sports activities for young people to exercise and keep fit as part of Health and Wellness programme in the department.
