MEC Robin Carlisle to speak at the launch of the 'Buckle-Up or You'll Be Back' campaign at Red Cross Children's Hospital

Childsafe South Africa, in collaboration with the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital, will be launching the “Buckle-up or you’ll be back!” campaign in a bid to raise awareness around the dangers of not buckling-up when driving, particularly for children in the vehicle.

Hospital security guards will be checking all cars leaving the hospital premises to ensure that all drivers, passengers and children are appropriately strapped in. Those vehicles, where children aren’t appropriately restrained, will be issued with “Red Tickets” giving car safety advice.

MEC Robin Carlisle will speak on road safety issues and the importance of restraints (particularly for children) in support of this campaign.

All media are invited and welcome to attend. There will be opportunity for interviews and photographs.
