Tomorrow, Friday 29 August 2014, Western Cape MEC of Community Safety, Dan Plato, will conclude the Department of Community Safety’s Women’s Month celebratory events in the West Coast.
During the month of August, MEC Plato has been visiting different communities throughout the province to honour women from the different areas, to highlight women’s safety and to pledge men’s responsibilities in the fight against violence against women.
MEC Plato will be visiting Paternoster in the morning and Vredenburg in the afternoon. During his visit to Paternoster, MEC Plato will also officially hand over the Safety Kiosk to be stationed in Paternoster to improve safety in the area.
There will be an opportunity for photographs and interviews.
