MEC Maloyi to convene a special session with municipalities to discuss service delivery
MEC for Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs, Nono Maloyi will on Tuesday, 07 March 2023, convene a special session with all municipalities in the province to discuss issues of service delivery.
The session will be attended by Executive Mayors, Mayors, Municipal Managers and Chief Financial Officers, representatives from the Water Boards, Eskom, amongst others. Other issues to be discussed include, expenditure of conditional and infrastructure grants, municipal audit outcomes, the challenges in the provision of water and sanitation and debts owed to municipalities by sector departments.
