MEC Mazibuko to improve relations between hostel community and South African Police Services

The MEC for Gauteng Department of Community Safety, Faith Mazibuko will, on Saturday 28 September host an anti-crime cultural event with the aim of harnessing the working relationship between the hostel community, surrounding community and the police.

Over the years, hostels have been a hide out for criminals and the police often experience difficulty in entering and sourcing information that could lead to successful prosecution of criminals.

This event will seek to address some of these challenges and strengthen relations between the hostel community and the police.

The event will commence with the handing over of cows as gesture to foster working relations between the police and the hostel community.
