Gauteng Education MEC Matome Chiloane will on Thursday, 21 September 2023, launch Khanya-Lesedi Sports School of Specialisation at Ratanda, Heidelberg. This will be the 27th School of Specialisation to be launched by the Gauteng Department of Education.
Schools of Specialisation focus on particular areas of education to provide students with in-depth knowledge and skills in fields such as Maths, Science and ICT; Engineering: Commerce and Entrepreneurship; Performing and Creative Arts, and Sports. These schools aim to provide learners with a more focused and tailored education to prepare them for specific career paths or further studies in their chosen fields.
