MEC Leeto to embark on charity drive
The Free State MEC for Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation in partnership with Star Riders Bikers Club of Mangaung will be engaged in a charity that is intended to hand over sanitary towels and food parcels to the needy. Several private sector companies will also be donating wheelchairs, blankets and other important gifts to the Star Riders Bikers which in turn will be donated to Bartimea and Boitumelo Special Schools.
The main programme on the 16 September 2017 is as follows:
1. 09H00-11H00 – Mass Ride, Opening event at Mabana Stadium in Thaba Nchu
2. 11h30-13h00 – Charity Event
3. 13H00-15H00 – Music Festival
4. 15H00-17H00 – Bikers games
5. 17H00-18H00 – Prize giving and vote of thanks
MEC Leeto’s charity partnership with Star Riders Bikers started in 2016 when this charity event took place on the 17 September 2016 at the same venue. It continued on the 03 September 2017 at Methodist Church in Thabong where blankets and food parcels were given to 40 elderly people of the church.
