The community of Itsoseng near Lichtenburg now receives decent health care service at their door step following the completion of Itsoseng Community Health Centre. Health MEC Dr Magome Masike will officially open the state of the art community health center tomorrow.
Built at a cost of R70 million, the centre will help the department to achieve the goal of improving the health profile of the province by rendering basic primary health care services with assistance from the PHC Re-engineering teams operating from the centre.
“As we prepare for the National Health Insurance (NHI), it is therefore important that we improve the state of our facilities like clinics, community health centers and hospitals especially in rural areas. We want people to fully benefit from NHI by the time it is rolled out to all the districts,” MEC Masike said.
