MEC Mandla Makupula hands over Nqantosi Primary School in Mount Frere, 13 Nov

Eastern Cape Education, Mr Mandla Makupula, through the Accelerated Schools Infrastructure Delivery Initiative (ASIDI) of the Department of Basic Education will on Friday 13 November 2015 continue to deliver sustainable change to rural education with the official handover of Nqantosi Primary School in Mount Frere in the Eastern Cape.

The school, a flagship ASIDI project, forms part of the this R8.2-billion programme whose mandate is the eradication of schools built from inappropriate material, in their entirety, and to provide basic services of water, sanitation and electricity to those schools that never had any.

The new state of the art facility will provide an environment that will promote optimum learning and teaching.
