The MEC for Department of Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs (CoGHSTA), Mme Makoma Makhurupetje will conduct Public Participation and handover title deeds as follows:

Musina residents will benefit from government’s Enhanced Extended Discount Benefit Scheme (EEDBS) which was introduced through the Housing Code aimed at facilitating the transfer of pre-1994 houses to deserving beneficiaries.
Following the Musina event the department will further handover title deeds to 460 beneficiaries in Tshikota Ext 1. During the 2014/15 financial year the department handed over tittle deeds to 129 beneficiaries in Seshego, 383 in Polokwane Ext 44, 57 in Polokwane Ext 71, 705 in Polokwane Ext 73, 48 in Polokwane Ext 75 and 267 in Lebowakgomo.
Since 2007 to date, Province wide, the department of CoGHSTA has successfully transferred 17 782 title deeds to beneficiaries. The department has also cancelled the debts of people who were subjected to 99 years lease agreement which robbed them of their dignity.
