MEC Sambatha to launch health promotion initiative, North West On Wellness
The North West Department of Health will host a health promotion summit on Friday, 02 August 2019. The summit will coincide with the launch of North West On Wellness (NOW) initiative with the aim of promoting healthy living.
MEC Madoda Sambatha has identified health promotion and communication to communities as one of ten focus areas that will guide his term of office from 2019 to 2024. This requires that the department strengthens community mobilisation in health promotion, screening, disease prevention, rehabilitation and early treatment of diseases.
