MEC Maile to address community Imbizo in Sharpeville
The MEC for Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation Lebogang Maile accompanied by Mayors of Sedibeng and Emfuleni, Councillors Mahole Simon Mofokeng and Gretha Hlongwane will tomorrow, Friday 7 March engage the community of Sharpeville and surrounding areas through an Imbizo to be held at the Sharpeville Hall.
The media is invited to attend the event from 9h30.
The scheduled iMbizo is one of Gauteng’s activities lined up to observe the human rights month. It is also a build-up to 21 March when Sharpeville will host the official national Human Rights Day programme to be addressed by President Jacob Zuma.
The imbizo forms part of the programme to entrench our freedom through participatory democracy.
