The MEC of Department of Economic Development, Environment, Conservation and Tourism, Kenetswe Mosenogi will be embarking on an oversight visit to Taung Hotel School Tuesday, 20 April 2021 in Greater Taung Local Municipality.
The visit is aimed at assessing progress registered to date and also respond to challenges that hinders the completion of Taung Hotel School project.
The development and construction of the project started in 2015 in an effort to improve the tourism infrastructure and skills development targeting young people in the North Wets province.
Independent Development Trust (IDT) as state owned entity responsible for the implementation and delivery of critically infrastructure programmes was appointed to manage the project on behalf of the Department. This was done through a Memorandum of Agreement which was signed by the two parties outlining the delivery and management of this infrastructure project for the Department.
