MEC for Transport and Logistics Kedibone Diale-Tlabela to visit Boipatong Massacre survivors.
Gauteng MEC for Transport and Logistics Kedibone Diale-Tlabela will on Friday, 08 September 2023 pay homage to the survivors of the Boipatong Massacre through a special luncheon at the Boipatong Monument.
In June 1992, the lives of around forty-five people were claimed in the Boipatong Massacre, leaving several others seriously injured.
As part of the Smart Mobility program the Department will also rehabilitate the following roads: Frikkie Meyer, pothole patching and Noble Boulevard.
The visit will afford an opportunity for the department’s maintenance team to do pothole patching and road markings in the area and highlight the work done by the Department in townships informal settlements as part of the elevated priorities.
