MEC Kedibone Diale-Tlabela launches Digital Public Transport Licensing System, 6 Oct

Gauteng MEC for Roads and Transport, Kedibone Diale-Tlabela, will on Tuesday, 06 October 2026, officially launch the Gauteng Public Transport Regulatory Information System (GPTRIS) with a special focus on e-hailing services and their regulation at the Department’s TOLAB in Tshwane.

GPTRIS is a new digital platform designed to modernise and streamline the province’s operating licensing system.

The system is designed to improve regulatory compliance, fast-track the processing and issuing of operating licences, enhance transparency, reduce opportunities for fraud, and enable real-time application tracking.
