MEC Jacob Mamabolo launches mass media campaign on water preservation, 19 Nov

Gauteng Department of Human Settlement and Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs MEC Jacob Mamabolo will tomorrow, Thursday 19 November 2016 officially launch the mass media campaign on responsible water use in the Province.

This mass communication campaign will augment to already existing government water preservation campaigns and aims to strengthen the dialogue on water preservation across the province. The official launch of the campaign will be the first of many such engagements planned to form part of an aggressive drive to work with the community to reach all sectors of water users in the Gauteng province.

This launch follows the special meeting of the Gauteng City Region Water and Sanitation Forum on Monday where a six-pillar mass communication campaign was adopted to amplify the message on saving water in the face of the current scarcity if this precious resources.

The event will take place as follows;

Directions:

From Johannesburg Town via Booysens, take Kliprivier Road Towards Glenvista. Pass Rand Water Head Office;  Pass Panorama Shopping Complex. Continue at the next traffic light at True North road ( Mulbarton). Pass the next traffic light at Zwartkopjes road. Drive about 1 km after this traffic light then turn right into Kromvlei road. Drive about 3km to the next traffic light at Zwartkopjes Pumping Station. Turn right at the traffic light into Zwartkopjes. The Soccer Stadium is next to the Security Gate.
