Gauteng Public Transport and Roads Infrastructure MEC Jacob Mamabolo will on Tuesday , 18 August 2020, visit the Sedibeng area to hand over three rehabilitated roads, inspect Evaton Taxi Rank and Mall's compliance to current COVID-19 regulations.
The five-month, R9 million road rehabilitation intervention forms part of the Department’s Smart Mobility strategy prioritising the delivery of improved, quality state of road infrastructure and contribute to growing the economy in the Emfuleni Local Municipality.
Meanwhile, MEC Mamabolo, in his capacity as Acting Health MEC, will also visit the Sebokeng Hospital to inspect the facility, check stocks and hand over PPE’s to healthcare officials.
MEC Mamabolo will further join a team of Community Health Workers who are playing a key role in the screening and testing efforts in the Sedibeng District.
Gauteng has adopted a strategy targeting hotspot areas as they have a high number of COVID-19 active cases. Tomorrow's activity will be part of efforts to contain the further spread of the Coronavirus in hotspot.
