Gauteng MEC for Roads and Transport MEC Ismail Vadi will officially open the rehabilitated P186/1 (Devland) road located south of Johannesburg, between the N1 and Road P3/6 (N12).
The road provides a link between Gauteng and North West province and serves as a major collector/distributor for the urban areas along the route and southwest of Johannesburg.
The R110 million project benefited residents with 60 employees from the seven wards affected by the project, thirty percent were women and seventy two percent were youth.
A total number of twelve subcontractors were appointed on the project and close to 12.08% of the project expenditure was spent on the subcontractors.
