MEC Ismail Vadi launches rehabilitated R25 road, 9 Nov

Gauteng MEC for Roads and Transport Dr Ismail Vadi will on Monday, 9 November 2015 officially open the rehabilitated R25 (P6-1) Road between Bapsfontein and Bronkhorstspruit.

The R190 million project entailed heavy rehabilitation of 42 km road from N4 Bronkhorstspruit to Road P36/1(R51) Bapsfontein. The road is a single carriageway provincial road linking Gauteng Province and Limpopo Province.

The project provided Broad-Based Black Economic Enterprise contractors with substantial portion of the work, provided training to local and other labourers to execute the work with a high degree of safety. During the road rehabilitation process, a total of 202 labourers were trained on various skills development courses.
