MEC Ismail Vadi to officially launch Cedar Road rehabilitation project
Gauteng MEC for Roads and Transport Dr Ismail Vadi today officially launch the rehabilitation of Cedar Road in Fourways.
The R96 million road project is part of the pilot Open Tender Process that was announced by MEC Creecy and MEC Vadi earlier this year as part of Gauteng government promotion of Batho Pele principles of openness and transparency, with the adjudication done in the presence of public members as well as the media.
The project’s objective is to upgrade both Cedar Road North and South into a dual carriageway status as well as improve its pavement life from Valley to Runnymead roads.
The length of the new road to be constructed is approximately 2,4km and forms part of access to the Steyn City Development.
