MEC Ismail Vadi commemorates Africa Day with Mamelodi learners, 25 May

Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport MEC Ismail Vadi will on Monday, 25 May 2015 visit the Tsako-Thabo Sec School in Mamelodi East.

The purpose of the visit is to mark Africa Day which is celebrated under the theme: “We are Africa” - Opening the doors of learning and culture from Cape to Cairo.

Africa Day actively seeks to strengthen socio, cultural, economic and political relations among African nations. It is also geared towards encouraging good working relations with neighbours on the continent to promote democracy, human rights and good governance.

MEC Vadi will address learners on the importance of tolerance and the government anti-xenophobia campaign to promote social cohesion in Africa
