Lack of sanitation facilities to diminish in Limpopo

The MEC for Education Ishmael Kgetjepe wants the department to speed up the provision of ablution facilities in schools. The MEC has instructed the beginning of building of these facilities in 26 schools around the province from this month. This will mark the beginning of a construction programme aimed at reducing challenges of sanitation facilities in schools.

The department will build modern facilities suitable and conducive for provision of safe environment. All the projects start this month and the intention is to get these delivered in speed.

“We are providing top of range facilities for the safety of our schools’ environment,” the MEC emphasised.

To mark the beginning of this construction process, MEC Kgetjepe will lead the sod turning ceremony where all the contractors will be available.

Political leaders, government officials and community leaders will converge to witness the beginning of better life in schools as the projects also include provision of water systems.
