In an effort to ensure delivery of quality healthcare in the province, Gauteng MEC for Health, Mr Hope Papo, will tomorrow morning meet with managers as well as tour different sections of Tambo Memorial Hospital.
This is the last visit by MEC to Ekurhuleni public health facilities which previously experienced challenges due to non-payment of overtime and shortage of drugs.
The visit is to ensure that proper and adequate treatment is provided to patients in all Gauteng public health facilities.
In addition to hospital managers, this engagement will also include hospital board members and representatives from labour organisations.
Following this visit, MEC will also inspect Reiger Park Clinic and later meet with clinic managers, regional managers, members of clinic committees as well community leaders in the area.
Community leaders from the municipality will also a platform to share the concerns of the people in various wards and also their suggestions to improve healthcare in the region.
