Gauteng MEC for Health, Dr Gwen Ramokgopa will on Tuesday join a team of medical experts who’ll be performing arthroplasty operations (hip and knee replacements) at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital (CMJAH). This is aimed at decreasing waiting time for Arthroplasty backlog.
It is anticipated that about 20 operations will be performed by the end of this week. This is part of the five year catch up strategy that is been rolled-out at CMJAH.
