MEC for Finance Ms Barbara Creecy will visit the Pretoria Evangelism and Nurture, a teenage orphanage which houses both male and female adolescents. The visit is in line with the Nelson Mandela Day Commemoration.
The Nelson Mandela Day is celebrated on the 18th of July every year in honor of the first democratically elected president of South Africa Mr Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela. This year’s commemoration is themed “Cleanliness is the hallmark of society”.
MEC Creecy and employees from the department will clean, do laundry and donate various items for the home. The MEC will also give a motivational talk to the teenagers.
There will be a media briefing in the morning and members of the media will be permitted conduct interviews with the MEC.
