MEC Donald Grant unveils Child Pedestrian Safety Poster campaign in Mfuleni, 28 Oct

Today, MEC of Transport and Public Works, Donald Grant, will be unveiling Safely Home’s Child Pedestrian Safety posters at Itsitsa Primary School, as part of the campaign focus for the month of October. These posters are aimed at raising awareness about the plight of child pedestrians. They have been strategically erected at places in the Metro where children are most vulnerable to being knocked down, as shown by Safely Home’s fatality statistics.

MEC Grant will be joined by the Principal of Itsitsa Primary School, Mr F.W. Ulana as he unveils these posters that will draw attention to child pedestrians, and the dangers that they face daily on roads in some of the poorest communities.

Media are invited and welcome to attend. There will be opportunity for photographs and interviews.
