MEC Donald Grant launches Operation “Zero” Easter Enforcement Plan, 2 Apr

Tomorrow, MEC of Transport and Public Works, Donald Grant, Safely Home, and Department’s Provincial Traffic Law Enforcement Services, will be launching the Operation “ZERO” Easter Enforcement Plan. The plan aims to achieve zero fatalities or serious injuries on identified high-risk routes over the upcoming Easter period.

As part of the launch, MEC Grant will join Provincial Traffic Services and other law enforcement partners, in a road block operation, and will interact with motorists on safety related matters as they travel to their various destinations.

The launch will be attended by our road safety partners, including Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Services (SAPS), Lt. General Arno Lamoer, the Mayor of Drakenstein Municipality, Adv. Gesie van Deventer, and representatives from SANTACO.

All media are invited and welcome to attend. There will be opportunity for interviews and photographs. Please indicate if you will be in attendance.
