MEC Donald Grant will be visiting Alexander Sinton High School. The school is acting as a Spring School venue for Grade 12 learners across the Metro Central District in preparation for the National Senior Certificate examinations.
The learners attending the Spring school include learners that have been identified as “at risk” in certain subjects and will receive additional support. It will also be attended by learners from High Schools in Manenberg who were affected by the recent spate in gang violence which affected teaching and learning time.
Learners from Manenberg are being transported from their schools to the central location during the school holidays and will receive tuition in various subjects from expert tutors and educators.
Media are invited to attend. There will be opportunities for photographs. Interviews with learners can be arranged during their tea break.
