On Wednesday, 9 July 2014, MEC Debbie Schafer will visit the Western Cape Education Department (WCED) Safe Schools Holiday Programme at Morgenson Primary School in Hanover Park. Morgenson Primary is one of 127 Schools taking part in the Holiday Programme hosted by Safe Schools and a number of outside stakeholders.
It is important that we keep our children, as far as possible, safe and occupied during the school holiday period. The WCED Safe Schools Holiday Programme provides learners with a safe space where they will be actively engaged in various informal/non-formal as well as formal education activities.
On Wednesday 9 July 2014, MEC Schafer will visit Morgenson Primary Holiday Programme. MEC Schafer will join learners partaking in indigenous board games.
The Programme at Morgenson Primary will focus on, amongst other activities:
1. Life Skills Programme
2. Safety Awareness
3. Road Safety
4. Sports activities
5. A number of fun games and physical activities
