Western Cape MEC of Community Safety, Dan Plato, will attend a school safety workshop initiated by Riebeeck Street Primary School in Belhar.
MEC Plato, as invited guest, will encourage learners and faculty alike to take ownership of their school and surrounds and become the safety ambassadors that our communities need in taking a stand against vandals and bullies.
The after-school workshop aimed at Grade 5 – 7 learners builds on existing anti-bullying campaigns at the school and is a fantastic safety initiative to show our younger people in the province what it means when we say: Safety is Everyone’s responsibility.
There will be an opportunity for photographs and interviews.
