The MEC for Police, Roads and Transport in the Free State honourable Butana Komphela will present his budget vote speech for financial year 2013/14 at Mmamahabane Sports ground in Ventersburg on Monday, 25 March 2013 at 10:00am.
In his speech the MEC is expected to give report on the progress and achievements in the past financial year and he will also outline challenges ahead that are facing the department especially budgetary constraints and how the department plans to overcome them.
The MEC is expected to elaborate on the following issues on his speech:
- War against all crime
- Massification of Job creation through EPWP projects.
- Safe and integrated road infrastructure.
- Intensification of Road safety education and
- Transformation of Public Transport in the Province.
MEC Butana Komphela together with MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs Honourable Msebenzi Zwane will host media briefing at 13h00.
