MEC Albert Fritz to unveil service directory for victims of crime and violence

As part of the focus for women’s month, MEC Albert Fritz will unveil a directory of services for victims of crime and violence tomorrow.

The directory, which contains contact details of police stations, shelters, safe houses and service organisations working in the victim empowerment arena, was spearheaded and compiled by the provincial Department of Social Development in partnership with the private sector. It will serve as a useful tool in directing victims of crime and violence to the appropriate services. This directory will be made available to all police stations and victim support rooms as well as magistrates, libraries and organisations working in the victim empowerment sector.

There will be photograph and interview opportunities.
