2018/19 Social Development budget speech to be delivered by MEC Albert Fritz
Tomorrow, Minister Albert Fritz will deliver the Budget Vote 7 on Social Development for 2018/19 speech in the Western Cape Provincial Parliament.
Minister Fritz will set out the plans for how the Department will deal with the constrained fiscal situation and the effects of the drought on poor residents. Major announcements will also be made on tackling Gender-Based Violence and child abuse.
The Budget will also detail how the department will boost delivery on five key areas,
- Children and families,
- Youth,
- Disability,
- Substance Abuse,
- Older Persons.
There will be an opportunity for photos and interviews after the speech is delivered.
