Guided by the Provincial Youth Strategy and Provincial Strategic Goal 2 which speaks to improving education outcomes and opportunities for youth development, the Western Cape Government has prioritised the empowerment and development of young people in the province.
This new Youth Café is directly linked to the provincial youth development strategy and the new provincial strategic goals, and follows the success of the first two Youth Cafés in Rocklands, Mitchell’s Plain and at the Vangate Mall in Athlone. The Youth Cafés offer entrepreneurial, leadership and other skills training, internet access for job seekers or entrepreneurs. This Café will allow young people in George access to a developmental space that is limited only by their creativity.
There will be an opportunity for photos and interviews.
