MEC Albert Fritz conducts oversight visit of Opiate Substitution Programme, 19 May

Tomorrow, 19 May 2015, the Western Cape Social Development MEC Albert Fritz, will conduct an oversight visit of the Opiate Substitution Programme administered at the Sultan Bahu Centre.

In response to the rising trend of opiate based drugs, such as heroin, one of the most innovative projects initiated by the Department of Social Development with our non-governmental organisation (NGO) partner, Sultan Bahu, is the Opiate Substitution Treatment Programme.

In the year of its existence, the programme is already yielding world-class results, and tomorrows visit will allow us to chart the programmes progress.

There will be opportunities for interviews and photographs.
