Minister Alan Winde to visit water-wise laundry service
Despite some good rains over recent weeks, water restrictions remain in place and residents of the Western Cape are urged to continue their efforts to save water.
Among the businesses doing their part to save water, and protect the jobs of their staff members is the Green Planet Laundry, which does not use a single drop of municipal water in any of their wash cycles.
Instead, the laundry uses borehole water which has been purified through a custom built water purification system, which then gets ozonated in a process that kills bacteria.
Minister Alan Winde will be visiting the laundry on Monday morning to view the innovative, green technology used by the business.
Members of the media are invited to attend. There will be picture opportunities for photographers.
