Tomorrow, Monday 17 June, Premier Helen Zille will join Mayor Patricia de Lille, at a commemoration event to mark 100 years since the passing of the 1913 Land Act.
The Mayor and the Premier will also highlight proactive measures initiated by the City of Cape Town and the Western Cape Government to facilitate land restitution as part of both governments’ efforts to foster redress and promote reconciliation.
They will be joined by a number of beneficiaries of the city and province’s land restitution initiatives.
