The purpose of the event will be to mobilise the community policing and safety structures, business communities, community based NGOs, government departments and municipalities to participate fully during the review of the Limpopo Crime Prevention Strategy.
The National Development Plan Vision 2030 contemplates that the Community Safety Volunteers Programme is a strategy that will yield positive results in the fight against crime. For the 2015/16 Financial Year the Limpopo Department of Safety, Security and Liaison will pilot the first phase of this programme.
The volunteers will comprise of CPF and CSF members from the respective boards to the station executives (CPFs) and local municipality level CSF. The members are getting steepens of R3500.00 per month.
