The Limpopo Provincial Government will host the Premier’s Intergovernmental Forum (PIGF) to deliberate issues related to the implementation of the previous resolutions and state of readiness for municipal audit process for 2017/2018 financial year.
The PIGF will also discuss progress report on the debt owed to municipalities, report on the debt owed to Eskom by Provincial Departments and municipalities, progress report on the implementation of the Provincial Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) and State of readiness for the 2019 General Elections.
The forum meets bi-annually to assess the performance of municipalities and strengthen intergovernmental relations between the province and local government sphere. The Forum will be addressed by Premier Chupu Stanley Mathabatha and will be attended by MEC for CoGHSTA, Jerry Ndou, Chairperson of SALGA, Vhembe District Mayor Cllr Florence Radzilani and other District Executive Mayors including Polokwane Executive Mayor Cllr Thembi Nkadimeng.
