The Student Equity and Talent Management Unit of WITS University and Limpopo Department of Education will host Annual Limpopo Family Workshop this weekend.
The family workshop comes as a result of the talent search by the University and the department of education where they search for Maths and Science talent from rural school across the province. The University and the department assist both teachers and learners in selected schools in improving on Maths and Science.
The province has 224 Grade 10 – 12 learners who are participating in the project. There are also 24 Maths and Science educators in this project which is sponsored by Goldman Sachs Foundation. Participating schools include Derek Kobe, Giyani Dendron and Tshikevha high schools.
In this event, the Acting MEC for Education will address learners, teachers and parents. Parents will also get an opportunity to interact with the top officials of the department.
