Next week the National Health Insurance (NHI) pilot project in the Western Cape will be officially launched in the selected district – Eden.
The three mobile clinics that form the essential part of the outreach to schools will be on display at the event. It will be a public event with participation by local doctors and dentists, and high-ranking delegates from the Department of Education and Health respectively.
Details about the NHI pilot project which takes the form of an integrated school health programme will be provided, which is a joint programme by the departments of basic education and health.
There will also be time for questions and answers from the floor.
