Department of Labour hosts a Major hazard installation workshop on Friday
The Department of labour’s directorate for Inspection Enforcement Services is to host a major hazard installation workshop in Gauteng on Friday.
The event, scheduled to be held at Emperors Palace, near Kempton Park, will bring together experts from government, business and the industry.
Speakers include Tibor Szana, Chief Inspector at the Department, Ben Leshiba, Business Unity South Africa representative as well as Mike Obeholzer, Approved Inspection Authority Major Hazard Installation expert.
Other items to be dealt with at the workshop are:
- Draft MHI Regulations
- Draft Risk Assessment Standards for Hazardous sites
- Draft Emergency Preparedness Plan Standard for hazardous sites
The meeting will start at 8.30am and the media is invited.
