Labour hosts Local Employer Advocacy campaign,16 Mar

The Department of Labour’s Public Employment Services to engage employers

The Department of Labour in the Free State will be hosting a Local Employer Advocacy Campaign in Sasolburg. This campaign is aimed at informing and engaging employers on different services offered by the Department of Labour.

To that effect, Business Units of the Department of Labour such as Inspection and Enforcement Services, Public Employment Services as well as Unemployment Insurance Fund will present their service offerings to attendees.  On the other hand, this campaign will see a number of employers in different sectors of our economy in the northern tip of the Free State province converging to deal with employment creation and placement of work seekers.

ESSA system will also be marketed to employers who are currently not making optimal use of this service offered by the Department. ESSA is a computerized system which has been developed to register work seekers and work opportunities that have been supplied by employers looking for workers.  ESSA is therefore an automated matching platform where work-seekers are matched with available opportunities.
