Labour hosts Imbizo on Child Labour in North West, 23 Nov

Department of Labour in the North West Province in partnership with Ratlou Local Municipality to hosts an Imbizo on Child Labour

The Deputy Minister of Labour, iNkosi Phathekile Holomisa in partnership with the Mayor of Ratlou Local Municipality, Honourable Tebogo Modise will be engaging different stakeholders on issues of Child Labour as part of the National Imbizo Focus Week.

The National Imbizo Focus Week which is scheduled for 12 to 25 this is currently underway across the country. It was announced by Cabinet three weeks ago as a programme aimed at igniting social partnerships and contributing positively to government endeavours including initiatives aimed at good governance, improved stakeholder morale, as well as public confidence in efforts aimed at reigniting the economic, creating jobs and building a prosperous society all can benefit from.

It is also hosted in the context of former President Nelson Mandela and Mama Albertina Sisulu’s centenary, a 100 years’ celebration of the two former struggle stalwarts and public servants who dedicated their lives to serve the people of this country.

The Deputy Minister will also be joined by Office of the Premier and some Members of the Executive Committee (MEC’s) from the North West Provincial Government.
