Justice and Constitutional Development celebrates 25th Anniversary of Office of the Family Advocate, 26 Oct

The Chief Family Advocate of the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development Adv. Petunia Seabi will deliver a keynote address at the 25th anniversary celebration of the Office of the Family Advocate in Philippi, Cape Town on Monday, 26 October 2015. Adv. Seabi will be accompanied by the Western Cape Regional Head of the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development Adv. Hisham Mohammed.  

The primary role of the family advocate’s office is to assist parents/ parties to reach an agreement on disputes regarding care, custody and contact of children through unbiased mediation. The Northern Cape office of the Family Advocate handles most of the cases relating to custody and care of the children.

Members of the surrounding communities will also have an opportunity to interact with the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development officials.
